Agencies with nurses on the N1 and N salary schedules must manually adjust staff placement for steps Q through X. This will ensure correct placement on the new July 1, 2025 salary schedules. OFM will not be able to automate this process, agency review and action is required. The draft salary schedules have been published to provide additional detail.
Note: This does not impact N2 salary schedules.
New Steps Created
As a result of bargained and funded compensation changes, three new steps were added:
Step R at 14 years of experience
Step T at 17 years of experience
Step W at 23 years of experience
This is the order of operations that must occur for agencies to successfully move employees to the correct step:
Step 1. Use the submitted Nursing Affidavit to determine the number of years of experience that will be credited to each employee.
Step 2. Identify the corresponding step associated with an employee’s years of experience.
