What has changed since last update?

The issue has been resolved for most of the agencies that were impacted. If you continue to see unresolved issues caused by this incident and OFM has not been in touch with you, please contact the OFM Help Desk.

When did this incident end?

Monday, January 9, 2023

Reason for Outage:

The doubled amounts on Dec. 27 were due to an issue during a file transfer that caused the file to double in size. A configuration change was made to prevent the issue from happening again. Due to the issue, the data needed to be fixed. The reversals submitted on Dec. 28 needed to be backed out and the correct reversals were posted to AFRS on Jan. 6 and to WWA on Jan. 9.

What has changed since last update?

Agencies will now see payroll batches on their IN.3 screen in AFRS with a batch date of 12/29/22 that are in error. Agencies are encouraged to correct their errors and release any remaining batches dated 12/29/22. OFM is reaching out to all impacted agencies. If you have not received a direct communication from OFM and have questions, please contact the OFM Help Desk for assistance.

ER and WWA financial reports will continue to show duplicated amounts for agencies 0110 through 3000 until all batches are corrected, released and posted to AFRS.

We will send an update when this incident has been resolved and closed.

What has changed since last update?

We apologize that this issue has not yet been fixed. OFM needed to back out the reversals we made on 12/28/22. The correct reversals to fix this issue are being made today and agencies will see new payroll batches on their IN.3 screen in AFRS with a batch date of 12/29/22.

It is important for agencies to NOT take any action on these batches until you receive further direction from OFM.

ER and WWA financial reports will continue to show duplicated amounts for agencies 0110 through 3000 until this issue is resolved. We will send an update when more information is available.

What has changed since last update?

The reversal entries were successfully uploaded to AFRS last night; however, there were errors in some batches that would have occurred during the original duplication. Each agency with errors will need to correct the errors. If you are unable to correct the errors by close of business today (Dec. 29), you can release with errors if you have staff with the proper security. Otherwise, please contact the OFM Help Desk for assistance.

If you see errors that you are unfamiliar with while making the corrections, please contact the OFM Help Desk for assistance.

The reports will continue to show duplicated amounts until the errors are corrected, released, and posted to AFRS.

Until the next update, agencies 0110 through 3000 are asked to hold off on running financial reports for reconciliation. We appreciate your patience while we fix this issue.
