Effective January 1, 2023, Washington’s Minimum Wage increased to $15.74 per hour. Employees impacted by this increase are those at PS Group (Range) and Level (Step):

Your agency must complete Basic Pay updatesbefore Friday, Jan. 20, 2022 at 8 p.m.
Employees who have a January 1, 2023, periodic increment date (PID) and are impacted by this increase should be placed at a step within the assigned salary range for their classification that is equal to or higher than the minimum wage and then their PID action should be processed.
Please note: Beginning January 1, 2023, Range 30, Step D will be considered the new minimum of the salary range.
Identifying Employees
To identify if your agency has employees who are impacted by this increase, run the Employee Basic Pay IT 8 History Report with the following steps and criteria:

Reporting Period – Today
Employment Status – Not equal to 0
Personnel Area – Your 4-digit Personnel Area
Pay Scale Group – 30, 31, and 32
Once you have executed your report, you should sort the Level in Ascending Order to identify anyone at Level A, B, and C as outlined per the Range above.
