The agencies who requested configuration for Other State Taxes to show on an employee’s W2 have been added to HRMS. As a reminder, each agency must work directly with any state they collect out of state taxes to obtain a Tax ID number. The Tax ID number is unique to this agency and the state the employee lives or works in. The Tax ID are provided to OFM to be configured into HRMS. This process must be completed to reflect another state tax on an employee’s W‐2.
Additional Action Required – A manual year‐to‐date adjustment is required for other state taxes to appear on the employee’s W2. The manual adjustment must be completed before Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
If your agency did not request a Tax ID Number be configured into HRMS and you have collected out of state taxes, after W2s have been completed processing, you will need to:
Complete a Print Copy of the employee’s W-2
Manually type or write the information into Box 1.
