OFM has added two fields to the end of the Payroll Posting report in HRMS:
Tax Auth (Tax Authority Code)
Description (Tax Authority Title)
The addition of these two fields will allow users to identify the Tax Authority of the related tax types and technical tax wage types, for example FED or WA. This work is in preparation for the implementation of the Out of State Payroll Tax project that will add up to four new state taxes to HRMS, beginning with Oregon and Idaho. These fields will not appear in any saved layouts but can easily be added as needed.
These new fields will eventually be made available in the GAP 7 Payroll Accounting Details Interface as well. Watch for future communication on when the new file layout is available.
Earnings and Deductions Statement (ZHR_RPTPY711)
OFM has made some changes to the Earnings and Deductions Statement:
On page 1, the Dependents Credits field may display depending on the format of the report:
For Accessible HTML Earnings Statements, page 1 will display both the Exemptions # and Dependents Credit fields.
For PDF Earnings Statements, page 1 will display either the Exemptions # or Dependents Credit fields.
The Dependents Credit fields will be displayed when an employee has an amount other than zero in the Credits for dep. field on their Withholding Info W4/W5 US (0210) infotype record.
The Exemptions # field will be displayed when an employee’s Credits for dep. amount is zero.
On page 2, in the Employee Mandatory Deductions, Employee Deductions, and Employer Contributions sections, two new fields have been added:
Tax Auth (Tax Authority Code)
Description (Tax Authority Title)
For example, “FED Federal” or “WA Washington”.
These changes apply to Earnings and Deductions Statements in both HRMS and MyPortal. A temporary pop-up message in MyPortal will direct employees to the MyPortal News page for a brief overview of the updates.
