OFM and the HRMS Data Stewards have created a new guide to assist processors when coding incentives and awards in HRMS. This new coding guide replaces the old Recording Cash Recognition Awards document.
The new Incentives and Awards Coding Guide includes information on:
Entering one-time lump sum payments in HRMS on the Additional Payments (0015) infotype;
Child support reporting requirements for lump sum payments; and
Performance based incentives and recognition awards reporting.
Performance Based Incentives and Recognition Awards Reporting
Legislation was passed earlier this year, removing the requirement of OFM to publish the annual Performance Based Incentives and Recognition Awards report. Historically, OFM would work with agencies to accurately report details about recognition awards paid and changes in headcount during the prior fiscal year. While the report is no longer legislatively mandated, the award payments will continue to be reported. OFM has added a new page and chart to the Workforce Data & Trends web pages for reporting performance based incentives and recognition payments. This new page and chart reports payments made using the same six wage types that were reported in the annual legislative report. Refer to the performance-based incentives and recognition awards section of the new Incentives and Awards Coding Guide for more information on what is reported here.
