The Office of Financial Management (OFM) is excited to share a great opportunity, as we have an open recruitment for a HRMS Functional Analyst - Time/Leave Management/MyPortal position within the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD). This is an in-training opportunity so if you have little to no formal IT experience, don’t let that discourage you from applying for this position. To qualify at the In-Training Level (IT Application Development – Entry) level, we are looking for someone with:
- Three (3) years minimum of end user experience in WA State Human Resource Management System (HRMS) preferably in Time, Leave, Payroll and/or Tax Reporter roles; and
- Proficient understanding of HRMS modules and their interactions to include the payroll process.
To qualify at the Journey (IT Application Development – Journey), we are looking for someone that has:
- Five (5) years of recent information technology configuration experience in SAP HCM in the Time Management module, including:
- Developing enterprise solutions
- Providing end user technical support
- Stewarding system change requests
* A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer programming, or a closely related field may substitute for 2 years of experience. Alternatively, a 2-year IT degree from a trade school in a related field may also be considered equivalent to this experience.
- Knowledge of and working background with federal taxes.
- Knowledge of and working background with WA, ID, and OR state taxes.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support the Time/Leave Management and MyPortal (Employee Self Service) modules along with Tax Reporter, 3rd party tax engine (BSI) and Quarterly and Year End preparation and processing. This includes:
- Developing and maintaining the configuration for one or more modules within the statewide HR and Payroll system (HRMS).
- Performing troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Providing tier 3 technical production support to end users.
- Providing maintenance and operations support.
- Creating and maintaining system documentation.
- Performing quality assurance testing.
